Showerthought: My first coding project flopped because I didn't plan it out. Debate: Should beginners sketch everything first or jump right in and adjust later?

Right? I wasted months coding before sketching a single thing.

Totally get the "coding before sketching" thing. But sometimes I wonder if sketches can trap you in bad ideas too, just with prettier lines. Maybe the real waste is using any rigid plan before you've felt out the problem.
