That guy at the meetup who laughed at my for loop
Tbh I still think about this one dude from a local coding meetup in Portland last fall. I was showing off my first project, a simple habit tracker, and he looked at my nested loops and just went 'wow, that's cute.' No advice, no pointers, just that. I know my code wasn't pretty, but I had just figured out how loops even work after 3 months of self teaching. Has anyone else met someone who makes you feel dumb instead of actually helping you learn?

Man, "that's cute"? That's the best he could come up with after you put yourself out there? Some folks just can't handle seeing someone actually trying.
