Thought Python turtle was just for kids until I built a working clock with it last Tuesday
I kept seeing people say turtle graphics are a toy and you should skip straight to real projects. Last Tuesday I was bored and tried making a simple analog clock with it in about 40 lines. It actually taught me how to use loops and angles better than any tutorial I tried before. Now I'm wondering if other "beginner" tools get written off too fast, like Scratch or even plain old HTML tables. Did any of you start with something everyone said was baby stuff and still use it today?
