Tried 2 months of YouTube tutorials vs 1 week of a paid coding course. No contest.
Honestly, I was stuck for like 2 months watching free YouTube tutorials on Python. I thought I was saving money but I kept jumping between different teachers and never finished a single project. Then I dropped $50 on a Udemy course that had a specific roadmap and clear exercises. After just 1 week I had built a little calculator app and actually understood loops. The difference was having a structured path instead of just random videos. Has anyone else hit that wall where free content just leaves you spinning?

Different strokes I guess. Free YouTube got me further than any paid course ever did, just depends on how you learn.

Man, I used to be one of those people who thought you had to pay for good learning material. I wasted like 400 bucks on a coding bootcamp once and barely got halfway through it before I gave up. Then a buddy just sent me a YouTube series on the same stuff and it clicked way better because I could pause and rewind whenever my brain got slow. So yeah, I totally get what you're saying now. Free stuff forces you to actually want to learn it instead of just feeling obligated because you spent money.
