Watched my neighbor go from copy pasting YouTube code to shipping a real site in 10 weeks, and the thing that changed was tiny
My neighbor Dana started learning to code back in March. She was stuck for the first 3 weeks, just copying snippets from tutorials and hitting run, and nothing stuck in her head. Then she stopped watching videos and started typing every line by hand into her own file, no copy paste at all. Ten weeks later she had a working site with a login page and a database on her laptop. Same person, same free course, same laptop from her job. The only change was her hands on the keys instead of the mouse. Anyone else notice that typing code out loud beats watching someone else do it?
