Went from copy pasting code off YouTube to writing my own little script in 3 weeks
I started learning Python on June 1st using the free course on freeCodeCamp, and for the first two weeks I was just copying what the videos did without really getting it. Then something clicked when I built a tiny script that renames all the files in my downloads folder, and suddenly I could see how loops and variables actually work together. How long did it take you guys before you stopped following tutorials step by step and started building stuff on your own?
