Went from watching 20+ beginner Python tutorials to actually writing my own script last week

I used to just copy paste stuff from Stack Overflow without understanding what it did, but after a solid 4 day push I made a simple script to sort my music files by genre. What finally clicked for you when you moved from following along to building your own thing?

Tutorials taught the syntax but nothing clicked until I had a real problem forcing me to think through every step.
