Friend convinced me to try a burr grinder instead of my blade one

My buddy Mike kept telling me a $40 burr grinder from Amazon would make my coffee taste better than my $20 blade grinder. I thought he was just being fancy about nothing. After three weeks of him insisting, I tried his old one and yeah, the difference in my morning cup was pretty obvious. Has anyone else switched and actually noticed a big change in flavor?

Yeah man, that "fancy about nothing" part got me. I was the same way, thought grinders were just hype. Then I got a cheap burr one and my coffee went from drinkable to actually good. The blade grinder makes it all dusty and uneven, some bits are powder and some are chunks. The burr gives you consistent grounds so your brew doesn't come out bitter or watery. Honestly it's the easiest upgrade you can make, no question.
