Had a week where every single pour-over came out bitter no matter what I did

I finally realized my grinder burrs were caked in old coffee dust and after 30 minutes with a brush and some compressed air, the first cup the next morning tasted like actual fruit instead of ash, has anyone else had their equipment secretly ruin weeks of coffee without them knowing?

30 minutes for a clean grinder seems like overkill honestly.

Yeah, "30 minutes" does sound like a lot when you say it out loud. I think the real problem is I just get distracted halfway through and end up staring at the pieces for ten minutes trying to remember where I was. Plus I always have to double check I didn't miss a clogged screen, which usually adds another five minutes of me just blowing on everything. So really it's more like 30 minutes of actual work and 10 minutes of me being confused.
