Just realized people put way too much milk in lattes

I saw a dude at my local shop pour a 12oz latte mix into a 16oz cup and fill the rest with milk. How do you even taste the espresso at that point, it's basically warm milk.

Nah I gotta disagree with "basically warm milk" lol. Some of us actually like when the milk dials back the espresso bite a little, makes it way smoother to drink first thing.

Thats fair, @grant826, but walking that fine line between smooth and "where did the espresso go" is a dangerous game. Personally I'd rather just order an americano if I want less bite, haha. To each their own though, mornings are rough enough without fighting over milk ratios.
