My $150 bean roaster finally paid for itself after 4 years

Back in 2020 I bought a small drum roaster for home use, mostly out of boredom during lockdown. Total cost was $150 with shipping. I never tracked the savings until last week when I compared my green bean orders to what I'd spend on roasted bags at the local shop in Denver. Turns out I've roasted about 80 pounds total, which is roughly $600 saved even after factoring in mistakes like the batch I scorched last March. Has anyone else actually done the math on their home roasting setup, or do you just do it for the fun of it?
