My little coffee log just hit 100 different beans tracked
I started a simple notebook about a year ago, just jotting down the coffee I was drinking. Nothing fancy, just the name, where it was from, and a couple words on taste. I opened it up this morning and realized I'd filled the hundredth line. It was this natural process Ethiopian from a roaster in Seattle. It matters because looking back, I can see my own taste changing. Early on I wrote 'too sour' about some light roasts I now love. It's not about being a pro, it's just this quiet record of my own mornings. Has anyone else kept a log and noticed their own preferences shift over time?

That is SO cool. My little coffee notebook is the same way. I used to write "bitter" next to every dark roast. Now I hunt for those chocolatey, smoky ones on purpose. It's wild to flip back and see your own taste buds learning new tricks. Congrats on hitting a hundred.

Tracking every bean just sounds like turning a simple joy into homework.

Wait @cameron_webb how long did it take before you actually started noticing those flavor shifts in your own notebook? Im curious if it happens pretty fast once you commit to writing stuff down or if it takes a while.
