My neighbor's kid asked why we grind beans fresh every morning
He saw me doing it and said his family just uses a big can of pre-ground from the store. It made me think about how my dad used to make coffee with a percolator and Folgers, and that was the fancy stuff back then. Now I'm weighing grams and timing my pour, which feels like a lot but I enjoy it. Do you think the ritual is part of the point, or is it just about the taste?
