Rant: my burr grinder died mid pour over and I had to use a blender on my beans
Last Tuesday morning my grinder just up and quit on me halfway through grinding 30 grams of beans for my pour over. The motor made a sad little whine and then nothing, and I stood there staring at a half crushed pile of beans at 6am. I panicked and threw the rest in my kitchen blender which turned them into a mix of boulders and dust, so the coffee came out bitter and weak at the same time. I ordered a replacement burr set that night but now I'm wondering if the grinder is even worth fixing. Has anyone brought a dead grinder back to life or should I just start shopping for a new one?
