The day I ditched pre-ground for a burr grinder was a game changer
I used to just grab whatever pre-ground coffee was on sale at the grocery store and call it a morning. Honestly thought it was fine, nothing special. Then about 6 months ago my buddy Mike let me try a cup from his setup with a fresh grind and I couldn't believe the difference. The flavors were actually bright and not just bitter. I picked up a basic Capresso grinder for like 80 bucks on sale and started grinding right before brewing. Now I can't go back to that stale pre-ground stuff at all. It's like night and day for the same beans. Has anyone else had that moment where you realized you were basically drinking mud before? What grinder did you settle on?

Burr grinder was my gateway drug too, but have you tried adjusting the grind size based on your brew method yet? That really opened up another level for me with my old Baratza.

Wait, you haven't messed with your grinder settings yet? I was stuck on a medium grind for everything for like a year before I tried going super fine for my Aeropress. Made a huge difference in flavor, way more body. Then I went coarse for my French press and it wasn't as bitter. Baratza makes it so easy to adjust too, just twist the hopper.
