Got tired of my Greeley shop missing after-hours calls, so I set up one simple thing and booked 5 jobs in a week
I run a small plumbing shop in Greeley and I was losing jobs because every call after 5pm went to voicemail and nobody left a message. Two weeks ago I paid $25 a month for a call answering app that texts customers back and lets them book a time slot on their phone, and I picked up 5 new jobs in the first week alone. Has anyone else tried an after-hours booking setup like this, and did it actually keep working once the newness wore off?
Doubt that keeps up once the first week buzz dies down. Five jobs in seven days sounds more like luck plus a slow stretch finally catching up than the app actually doing the work, because most folks with a burst pipe at 9pm are gonna call three shops in a row and take whoever picks up live. A text back with a booking link is nice on paper but half these customers want a real voice on the phone before they trust you with their house. Give it a month and see if you're still getting five a week or if it drops back to the same old voicemail problem with extra steps.
