Hot take: my Fort Collins coffee shop's Tuesdays are now busier than Saturdays
I run a small coffee shop off College Ave in Fort Collins and something weird has been going on for about 3 weeks now. Tuesdays used to be my slowest day by far, like maybe 40 customers, but now I'm seeing closer to 90 and Saturdays have dipped a bit. I asked a few regulars about it and two of them said their bosses let them work remote Tuesdays and Thursdays now. I'm not sure if I should add staff on Tuesdays or wait to see if it sticks. Any other shop owners in Colorado seeing the same day of week switch?
My sister runs a bagel place in Denver and she had the exact opposite happen, her Mondays got crushed for like two months and then just went back to normal out of nowhere. Turns out some big office nearby had a Monday remote thing and then changed it. So it might not stick, hard to say. If it has been three weeks that is a real pattern though, three weeks is not a fluke. I would maybe bring in one extra person for a few Tuesdays and see, worse case you are out a little cash, best case you stop drowning. Saturdays dipping is the part that would bug me more, that used to be the money day for everyone.
