PSA: the week I lost a $4,200 moving job over a parking ticket, then landed two bigger ones from the same street
Had a rough Monday two weeks ago in Boulder when a client canceled a $4,200 move because my truck got a parking ticket blocking their alley, and they said it looked unprofessional. I was pretty steamed about it, so I went back to that same street the next day to hand out cards and apologize to the neighbors. One of them turned out to be a property manager who books relocations, and she gave me two jobs worth about $9,600 total. Funny how getting chewed out in a driveway turned into the best week my little company had all year. Has anyone else gotten a big client from the spot where things went wrong?
