A guy at my local comic shop in Boise asked me why I bag and board every single issue, and his reason for skipping it made me rethink my whole setup
He said he stopped doing it after realizing he was spending $60 a year on supplies to protect books he never planned to sell, and now I keep wondering if I'm just fooling myself into thinking every random issue is an investment.

Man, if you never sell them, you're basically paying rent on a storage unit for paper.
