A guy at my local shop spoiled a big reveal for me and I almost quit my pull list over it
I was at Heroes on Wednesday around 6pm picking up my hold, and some dude behind me saw my stack and blurted out that the character I'd been following for 14 issues gets killed in the next one. I just stood there holding my books, and the guy at the counter actually stepped in and told him to knock it off. I went home, read the issue anyway, and honestly the way it played out was way better than the spoiler made it sound. Now I always ask the staff to bag my pulls before I even walk in, and it's worked fine for 5 months. Has anyone else had to set boundaries like this at their shop, or am I being too weird about it?
Asking the staff to bag your pulls before you even walk in is smart. My shop started doing that for one guy who got spoiled on a big death, and now half the regulars do it too. Cuts down on the awkward small talk at the counter too, so why wouldn't you?
