Guy at a yard sale in Fresno sold me 40 long boxes for $60 and I spent a month hunting for one comic
So last spring I bought a whole collection off a guy clearing out his garage in Fresno, 40 long boxes for $60, which is like $1.50 a box. He said his uncle read them in the 80s and there was no list, no bagging, just boxes stacked to the ceiling. I spent a month digging through beat up X-Men and Spider-Man trying to find any key issue, and every time I pulled out a #1 I got excited until I saw it was some random mini series nobody cares about. My favorite part was when my buddy watched me sort them and said "you are basically getting paid 20 cents an hour for this," which honestly was fair. Anybody else ever buy a blind collection like this, and did you actually find a book worth the trouble or just a ton of dollar bin filler like me?
