I thought the new Spider-Man run was just a cash grab, but the first issue won me over

I saw the previews for the new Amazing Spider-Man #1 and rolled my eyes, thinking it was just another reboot. My friend at the comic shop in Springfield said to give it a shot, so I picked it up last week. The way they handled Peter's new job at Oscorp and the mystery with the missing tech actually felt fresh. Has anyone else been surprised by a book they thought they'd hate?

What's fresh about rehashing the Oscorp job again? It felt like the same old corporate spy plot they've done before, just with a new number on the cover. I'm not convinced this run will last.

Honestly, you're spot on, it's just the same tired thing with a fresh coat of paint. @burns.richard's story about the pizza delivery guy proves that real-life heists are way more interesting than this retread.

My uncle worked security at a biotech firm in the early 2000s. He said they lost a prototype for a self sealing bike tire to a guy who just walked in wearing a pizza delivery uniform. Sometimes the old ways work because people are still that gullible.
