My entire longbox of 90s comics collapsed in the closet last night
The bottom just gave out, and now my X-Force #1 is bent under a pile of polybags. I had to carefully sort through about 300 books to save what I could. Has anyone found a better storage solution that won't fail after a few years?

Actually had the same thing happen with a shortbox. Those longboxes are just too much weight for the plastic corners. Switched to the cardboard shortboxes from BCW. They hold up better and are easier to move. The smaller size keeps the weight down so the bottom doesn't blow out.

Interesting take @alex_hall91. I've had the opposite problem where the cardboard ones get beat up too fast. The plastic corners on the longboxes have held up for me as long as I don't overstuff them.
