I sold off about 400 single issues back in 2018 for a fraction of what I paid for them. That was the moment I realized the paper habit was never going to pay for itself. I still keep a few key runs on the shelf, like my old Swamp Thing collection, but everything else is digital now. The tablet holds an entire long box without taking up a single inch of closet space. I do miss the smell of a fresh issue and the ritual of the comic shop on Wednesday, but my bank account stopped crying about it after the first month. It took me a while to admit it, but buying digital only means I actually read the stuff instead of letting it sit in bags.
