Rant: Sold my early 90s run at a con, then watched the buyer flip it for triple

Back in 2018 at a small convention in Albany, I sold my full Death of Superman arc for $60 because I needed gas money and thought old issues were worthless. Two booths down, that same guy had them priced at $180 each before I even got to the door. Has anyone else ever sold something cheap only to see it resold right in front of you, and how do you shake that feeling off?

...and honestly that whole thing still bugs me to this day, but it's not the money part that gets me. It's the fact that I watched him tape a little handwritten sign on my old boxes that said "RARE 90s KEY ISSUES" and people were lining up. Like, these were just comics I read on the bus during high school, some of them have Cheeto stains on the cover. I actually bought one back from him later that afternoon for $45 because I got sentimental and missed my own book. He gave me a weird look and said "back for more huh?" and I just nodded like a fool. Now my rule is if I ever sell anything at a con, I walk the whole floor first to see what the going price is, even if I'm broke and cranky. It doesn't fix the feeling, but at least I know I'm not making the same mistake twice.
