Shoutout to the guy at my LCS who told me to stop bagging my comics
I used to bag and board every single comic the second I got home from the shop. Had this whole system with the tightest bags possible. Last week the owner of my local shop in Detroit saw me doing it and just shook his head. He said I was trapping moisture and bending the corners over time. Switched to nice snug boards and loose bags on about 200 comics from my run. Now I feel dumb but my books actually lay flat. Anyone else get told they were storing stuff wrong after years of doing it?

Read a grading guide that said tight bags cause spine stress lines.
