Spent $60 on a long box divider and ended up using cardboard instead
I bought one of those plastic long box dividers from my LCS for about $12, thinking it'd keep my silver age books from sliding around in the short box. Total burn because it didn't fit right, and three issues got bent corners on the way to a con in Portland last month. I grabbed a piece of corrugated cardboard from a shipping box, cut it to size, and it's been holding stacks perfect for six weeks now. Cardboard is ugly but does the job way better than the fancy stuff. Anyone else just hack together storage solutions instead of buying the overpriced gear?

Cardboard crew for life, same reason my long box has a pizza box lid inside.

That pizza box lid is shielding your top loaders from spaghetti sauce stains.
