Stopped a guy at the shop from calling Silver Surfer a villain

He was dead serious saying Surfer was a bad guy because he worked for Galactus. I had to pull out Fantastic Four #48 from my bag to show him the turn. Has anyone else had to argue about a character's whole arc with someone who only knows the movie version?

Gotta disagree. Event comics usually just lead to the status quo anyway so you're not missing much.
