That time I dropped $200 on a first printing of a comic that turned out to be a reprint

Back in 2018 I bought what I thought was a first printing of The Walking Dead #1 at a flea market near Atlanta. Guy swore it was legit, and I was so excited I didn't check the inside cover. Got home and saw it was a 5th printing from 2005. I still have it on my shelf as a reminder to always look twice before handing over cash. Anyone else get burned on a fake or mislabeled issue?

Damn that's rough, I've definitely been there too. Bought a "signed first edition" of a King novel at a garage sale once, got home and realized the signature was just printed on. Still stings when I see it on my shelf but hey, it's a good reminder to check everything twice before you pull out your wallet.
