Three years ago my sink pipe burst at 2am and I spent the next six hours with a bucket and a shop vac before the plumber could get there. I ended up replacing the whole drain assembly myself because the quotes I got were basically robbery. The key was watching a few YouTube videos from that old guy with the beard who explains things real slow. Saved about $400 and it only took me two weekends and a lot of cuss words.
