I walked a 12,000 sq ft build last Thursday and saw PVC drain lines just hanging in open air with no framing around them at all. That is not coordination, that is a rework invoice waiting to happen. How are you all handling GCs who schedule trades before the shell is even closed up?
Did your buddy out in Mesa deal with the same thing last year? He had a 8,000 sq ft build where the GC rushed the plumbers in before framing, and they had to rip out and redo all the drain lines when the walls went up wrong. Cost the GC almost 40 grand in change orders and set the whole job back three weeks. Some of these guys just won't listen until it hits their wallet.
