Debate: Should we push for precast or stick with poured-in-place on big shells?

Had a talk with a superintendent on a mall job in Phoenix last month who swore precast shaved 3 weeks off their schedule. But my old boss always said poured-in-place gives you way more control on curves and openings. Which side do you lean on for tight timelines?
