Hit 500,000 board feet on my crew and didn't even notice until payroll called

I've been running a framing crew on a big mixed-use project over in Renton for about 18 months now. Last week the office sent me a report showing we passed a half million board feet of lumber installed and I just about dropped my coffee. I've been doing this 22 years and that's the first time I've had a number that big put right in front of me like that. Has anyone else had a milestone sneak up on them like that or am I just too focused on the next wall to look back?

Wait, is 500,000 board feet actually that big of a deal? I figure that's like one good-sized building in Seattle.

Read somewhere that's more lumber than a whole neighborhood of houses uses lol
