Hot take: our concrete pour hit 400 cubic yards and the finish crew showed up with 3 guys
We poured a 12,000 sq ft slab on grade at a distribution center in Chattanooga, and the batch plant ticket said 412 cubic yards. I figured we would have at least 8 finishers on the power trowels, but the super only brought 3 plus himself. Turns out they ran a riding trowel most of the night and the floor came out flat within 1/8 inch over 20 feet. The next morning the GC walked it with a straightedge and did not say a word, which around here counts as a standing ovation. Curious if anyone else is seeing smaller finish crews with bigger machines on industrial slabs, or if this was just a good night.
