I was sure those new fiber-reinforced concrete panels were just marketing fluff, but we used them on a strip mall in Phoenix.

The specs said they could handle the heat better, and after a full summer, not a single crack has shown up (which is a first for that area). Anyone else tried a material they doubted that actually held up?

Man, I was totally in the same boat about those panels! I remember telling my supplier they were just selling me expensive dust. Now I have to go back and eat a whole humble pie, because the stuff actually works. Guess my gut feeling needs a calibration check once in a while.
