New parking garage ramp collapsed before the inspector even showed up

We poured a 12-inch thick entrance ramp last Tuesday for a mixed-use building downtown and the forms blew out on one edge during the cure. The concrete sagged a good 4 inches before we caught it, now we gotta demo and repour that section at our own cost. Anybody had to deal with a concrete contractor fighting you on rework like this?

Did your contract have a cure period clause? Saved me on a similar fight.

Read a forensic engineer say form ties sometimes get overlooked on thick slabs like that.
