Question about fire caulking penetrations on a 3 story job in Reno
Did a walkthrough last Tuesday with the fire marshal on a tenant buildout and he flagged 14 spots where our sleeves went through the rated wall. My lead guy swears we can just load them up with the same caulk we use everywhere else but the inspector said it has to be listed for the assembly. Now the GC is breathing down my neck about the schedule. What are you guys actually using on stuff like this and how are you keeping track of which penetration got what? I'm thinking a simple log sheet by floor but I don't want to reinvent the wheel if somebody already has a system.
