Rant: The new spec for firestop sealant on a Phoenix job site is a nightmare

We used the new 'fast-cure' formula on a Tuesday and by Thursday it had cracked clean through on half the floor penetrations. Has anyone else had this happen with the updated ASTM E814 stuff?

My buddy's crew saw the same fast-cure cracking on their last job, total mess lol.

Did they try slowing down the cure time or was it just a bad batch?
