Spent $14k on a fancy floor laser and it paid for itself in one week

Bought one of those self leveling laser trackers for a retail fit out in Phoenix and the crew was done laying out 40,000 sq ft in three days instead of two weeks. The old way with string lines and a transit wouldve had us fighting the existing slab issues for days. Anybody else drop serious cash on gear that instantly proved its worth?

Bought a $9k trim laser for cabinet work and it paid for itself before the month ended. We had a hotel job with 200+ doors that were all slightly off, that thing leveled everything in two afternoons.
