Subcontractor showed up to our Charlotte site three hours late with the wrong material and zero paperwork.

I was standing on the drywall staging at 7 AM waiting for the metal stud crew and instead got a guy holding 25-gauge track when our specs clearly called for 20-gauge, so I sent him back to the yard and ate a two day delay on that zone anyone else deal with subs that don't read the scope before they roll out?

Show up three hours late with the wrong gear and no paperwork, that is a special kind of special. I had a crew roll up to a job with 8 foot studs for a 10 foot wall once, just looked at me like I was the crazy one when I asked where the rest of them were. Sent them packing and had to scramble to find a replacement crew that same afternoon, which never goes cheap or fast. It is maddening when they ignore the scope because you know they looked at it, they just decided to wing it anyway. Feels like half my job is babysitting grown men who cannot be bothered to read a simple spec sheet.

Nah, I actually think that's on you for not double-checking their load-in before they left the yard.
