Vent: My foreman in Tampa pointed out I'd been ordering the wrong concrete PSI for a whole strip mall foundation.

The batch plant called to confirm the 4000 psi mix for the footings, and he overheard and asked why I wasn't using 5000 psi for the high-load columns, which was clearly on the structural notes I'd glanced at a dozen times.

Yeah I read this article about how people scroll so fast now they don't actually read anything. It said we just look for keywords.

Man it's so true though. Caught myself doing that exact thing the other day just swiping past paragraphs looking for a number or a name to jump out at me. Kinda depressing when you realize how bad your attention span has gotten over the years. Feels like my brain got rewired by all those short videos and quick posts. Hard to slow down and actually soak in what you're reading anymore.
