Watched a crew pour concrete at 30 degrees and nobody seemed worried
Was on a site last month in Denver and they poured a slab when it was barely 30 degrees out, no blankets or heaters in sight. Has anyone else seen contractors just ignore cold weather curing specs like it's no big deal?

Did the inspector just not show up that day or something? I've seen crews try to save a few bucks by skipping the cold weather prep and it never ends well. They think they can get away with it because the sun warms things up by afternoon, but 30 degrees at pour time is asking for trouble down the road. I've watched slabs that were poured in the cold develop these nasty hairline cracks months later, and then the owner is stuck with a messed up floor or driveway. It's just not worth cutting corners when a few blankets and some extra time could save the whole job.

So you think the inspector ghosted them?
