A 4-hour surface interval rule I picked up off a saturation diver in Galveston
I was complaining about feeling rough after a shallow pier job in Galveston and this old saturation hand told me the tables most of us learned are built for much deeper work than we actually do. He said on shallow air jobs his crew sticks to a 4-hour gap between dives even when the tables say they can go back sooner, and the guys who ignored it were the ones napping on the deck by noon. Curious if anyone here pushes surface intervals shorter on shallow work, or is 4 hours pretty standard on your crews?
