An old salvage diver told me to always pack a second dive knife, and I'm glad I listened
I was working a job in the Gulf last month, cutting some old cable off a wreck. My main knife got jammed in a piece of rope and the release strap snapped. I was stuck for a second, but I remembered the guy's advice and had the spare on my other leg. Pulled it out, cut myself free, and finished the cut. Anyone else have a piece of gear they always double up on now?

Tbh that's why I keep two tape measures on my truck.

Three tape measures? That's wild Troy but also kinda genius honestly. I had one fall off the tailgate into a puddle once, grabbed it, and it was stuck at 6 feet forever. Ruined my whole day trying to measure out some baseboard for my sister's kitchen. After that I started keeping an extra in the glovebox just in case, but three feels like insurance against the universe itself.
