Finally got my first solo weld inspection signed off yesterday

I've been working toward this for about 3 years now, ever since I started as a tender up in Port Angeles. Last month my supervisor let me take the lead on a pier repair job, checking all the underwater welds on a piling cluster near the ferry dock. Yesterday the senior inspector came out to review my work and signed off on all 12 of my inspection reports without any corrections. It felt like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders honestly. I've been practicing my weld defect identification for months using those old test coupons from the shop. Does anyone else still get nervous when a supervisor comes to check your work, even when you know you did everything right?

Yeah I used to think I was past that feeling but it never really goes away.

But what is it that actually gets you? Like, is it the same exact feeling every time or does it change shape depending on the situation. Because for me it's this weird mix of being totally fine and then something small hits me out of nowhere. I think the scary part is never knowing when it's gonna come back, you know? Do you ever catch yourself waiting for it even when things are going good?
