Just logged my 500th hour on the underwater grinder this morning
I was cleaning up my dive log and the number kind of surprised me... I remember when I first started, that tool felt so heavy and awkward. Now it's just an extension of my arm, especially on those big hull cleaning jobs in the Gulf. It matters because I used to be so slow, but now I can clear a 40-foot section in about half the time. The muscle memory is real after all those hours. Anyone else hit a weirdly specific tool hour mark that made you feel like you finally got the hang of it?

Man, that's awesome! I totally get that feeling. I hit 300 hours on a needle scaler last year and had the same moment. It went from this loud, jumpy beast to something I could just zone out with. My hands used to ache for days, now I barely notice. It's crazy how the body just learns the weight and the rhythm after enough time.

Loud, jumpy beast" is right, but I never believed that zoning out part until it happened to me too.
