PSA: Check your dry suit neck seal before every dive
Had my neck seal split on me last Thursday during a bridge inspection in Norfolk. Water came rushing in at about 15 feet and I had to abort the whole job. Cost me $280 to get it replaced at a local shop and lost half a day's pay. Anyone else had a seal go bad at the worst possible time?

Man, that really sucks. Sorry you had to deal with that especially on a paid job. Its amazing how fast a little tear can ruin your whole day.

Learned this one the hard way myself a few years back. I used to just throw my suit on and hope for the best, never really checked the seals before jumping in. Then one day I was doing a salvage job and my neck seal just split open at 20 feet. Felt like someone dumped a bucket of ice water down my back. Had to emergency ascend and ruined the whole dive. Now I do a quick visual check and run my finger around the seal every single time before I suit up. It takes like 30 seconds but saves you from losing a whole day and a bunch of cash on repairs. Definitely changed my whole mindset on prep work.
