Spent $400 on a 'pro' dive light that flooded after two weeks on a harbor job.

Check the warranty before you do anything. A lot of those lights have a one or two year guarantee against flooding. The company might just send you a new one, no questions asked. It's a hassle, but it beats being out four hundred bucks for a paperweight. Harbor work is rough on gear, but a proper pro light should handle it.

Yeah, warranty's the first call.

Did you check the model number for a specific marine rating too? Some of those "pro" lights have a seal that's only good for a splash or two, not full submersion. I've had a couple lights that warranty covered, but I also ended up adding a thin silicone bead around the lens housing after the replacement came. It's a cheap extra step that's saved me a headache later. Your mileage may vary, but it's worth looking at the gasket condition when you swap it out. Saltwater just eats at rubber over time, no matter how good the brand is supposed to be.
