Swapped my old dry gloves for a ring system last month and it's a game changer

I used to run those basic Viking dry gloves with the rubber cuffs that you roll over your wrist seals. Every dive I'd fight with getting them on, and forget about it when my hands were wet or cold - took me 10 minutes just to get seated right. Then I switched to a Si-Tech ring system after a buddy at a Gulf job in Port Fourchon kept pushing me to try it. Now I just snap the gloves on and off in seconds, even on a bouncing boat deck. My hands stay way warmer too since I'm not wrestling with the seals. The whole setup ran me about $200 but I'd have paid double after the first week of not losing dexterity. Has anyone else made the jump from roll-ons to rings or do you stick with what you know?

Damn, yeah the roll-ons were the bane of my existence too. I switched to the Si-Tech rings after a trip up to Hood Canal where I spent 20 minutes in the parking lot trying to get my left glove seated while my buddy was already in the water laughing at me. The rings are a total lifesaver, especially when you're on a rocking boat or dealing with cold wet hands. I still keep a pair of roll-ons as backups in my save-a-dive kit, but I haven't touched them since I got the rings dialed in.

Man that 20 minute parking lot fight sounds way too familiar. I swear roll-ons were designed by someone who never actually had to put them on in real conditions. Glad the rings worked out for you though, they really do make a world of difference when your hands are numb and you're just trying to get in the water.
