Took me 5 months to finally seal that leaking bell housing on the old rig in Port Orchard

I kept blaming the shaft seal when it was actually a tiny crack that only showed up after I tried two different pullers and a pressure test, so which would you tackle first, the housing or the seal?

Wow, a tiny crack?? Thats brutal. Five months of chasing that thing and it was hiding the whole time. Ive had seals drive me nuts before but never had the housing itself betray me like that. You must have been ready to torch the whole rig by the time you found it. The puller trick is what gets me, running through two of them just to find out the metal itself was the problem. Id probably still be staring at that bell housing wondering what else could possibly be wrong.
